IBO has many supporters – we couldn’t do it without you! It’s hard for us to list everyone who has supported us, but here are a few key people, organizations, and businesses we’d like to thank:

The Diane and Winston Moore Family Endowment

Winston and DianeIn 2008, the local family of Diane and Winston Moore began building an edowment for the Intermountain Bird Observatory. The fund was named the Diane and Winston Moore Family Endowed Chair for the Director of the Intermountain Bird Observatory. The intent of the fund was to solidify the position of the Director of IBO. Annual interest from the fund will support program expenses at the discretion of the Director. It is intended that those annual distributions will help fund outreach and education efforts of IBO with local children. Diane and Winston felt strongly upon establishing this fund that IBO’s work with children is important, as they have always valued efforts that engage children, get them interested in nature, the great outdoors, and “all God’s creatures”. We are forever indebted to the overwhelming generosity of this family. Their gift has been truly transformational for IBO, creating both stability and recognition for the program. The gift has resulted in significantly increased support for IBO from Boise State University and the community, and will continue to benefit IBO and be a catalyst for its growth indefinitely. Thank you Diane and Winston for your incredible vision!

IBO Lifetime Membership – Become a Lifetime Member

Lazuli Bunting by R. BradyIn the past year, IBO has awarded nine additional lifetime memberships for donations of $1000 or more.  We wanted to make sure to publically acknowledge these donors and say THANK YOU!  What does this mean?  Lifetime members are publically acknowledged, will receive our newsletter and updates forever, and will live happily thereafter knowing that they have significantly contributed to the growth and stability of the IBO!  Does this distinction mean that we won’t ever ask you to support us again?  Well, no, but you will become a member of an elite group of dedicated IBO supporters (more like “family”).  We welcome you to become IBO Lifetime Members!  Your contribution will really make a difference. Want to become an IBO Lifetime Member?  Please contact the Director or send in your donation today.

The IBO is truly a cooperative effort

We are grateful to the following businesses and organizations that provide funding, in-kind support, and guidance each year. Without their contributions and collaborations, the IBO could not continue its research, monitoring, and education programs. Thank you also to the many individual donors who have helped us (too many to name here!).
